Job Description

This is a key leadership role that is responsible for developing and executing commercial growth strategies throughout our 3 commercial divisions in Canada (Dealer, Home Center, Retail Stores) that will drive profitable growth and increase market share by integrating MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc. (MBC) products with appropriate customer segments.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • “Own” & implement the Canadian strategic plan to drive outpaced share gains and profit improvements

  • Manage and develop direct report(s) focused on creating and implementing channel/segment-specific growth strategies for MBC’s Canadian portfolio of brands.

  • Develop action plans in partnership with channel team(s): Programs, promotions, product offerings, sales tools, training, etc

  • Analyze & identify target markets and build an overall channel opportunity model by segment, growth, and trends

  • Develop and implement product and channel strategies by channel & segment, focusing on GTM vision, product and customers.

  • Track effectiveness of channel programs and recommend plan changes as appropriate.

  • Develop and drive customer loyalty program by channel & segment

  • Develop & deploy effective metrics & models to enhance in market decision making and actions

  • Develop & deploy a process to identify & implement product and service gaps across all Canadian channels & segments

  • Increase speed to market while tracking & maximizing ROI for product & channel initiatives

  • Develop & manage the deployment of all cabinet brands that span the price spectrum across all Canadian channels & segments

  • Develop & deploy pricing strategies by channel maximizing revenue & profit

  • Provide direct and indirect assistance to sales representatives.

  • Travel as business needs require, estimated 50% plus.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.

  • 7+ years of experience in the building products industry with a product, marketing and/or sales background.

  • Possess or obtain intimate knowledge of industry products, services, distribution, customers & competitors.

  • Background or experience with lean, 8020, & agile is preferred

 

Physical Requirements

 

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, as office work often involves spending long hours at a desk or workstation.  Ability to read documents, emails, and computer screens, and see details on printed materials and presentations.  Proficiency in using home office equipment such as computers, keyboards, mice, phones, and other peripherals. This includes typing, clicking, writing, and operating office machinery.

 

Work Environment:

 

This is a remote position with the ideal candidate capable of working efficiently and independently from their home office to fulfill assigned tasks and meet deadlines.  As a remote employee the candidate will need internet connectivity capable of supporting virtual communication tools that allow for collaboration with team members, attendance of meetings, and participation in company activities. Ideal candidate will be required to set up and maintain a suitable home office environment conducive to productivity. This includes having a dedicated workspace with a comfortable chair, desk, and adequate lighting. The candidate is expected to travel up to 50% of their time to meet with clients, attend conferences, and engage in face-to-face interactions with internal stakeholders. This travel will require overnight stays and may be multiple days in duration.
