We’re seeking a Design System Lead to join our UI Engineering team with a focus on building our internal Design System and collaborating with developers to build the future of our UI developer toolkit.

As a Design System Lead, you are passionate about developer experience, design, and user experience. You have a collaborative mindset backed by excellent communication skills. You’re user-focused and love building great products.
You have a team-first mentality and work collaboratively. You are curious and keen to learn from others, able to listen to stakeholders and engage in healthy debates and discussions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Developers and Designers to deliver a Design System which is enjoyable to use and can be adopted by our various products.
Collaborate with the Product Design team to develop a roadmap of Design System features and enhancements that will refine our user experience.
Work closely with our Designers to align our Design System implementation with the Product Design vision.
Be a primary contributor to our Design System, create components and lead the technical implementation.
What We Are Looking For
6+ years of software engineering experience building web applications using React
Experience building or contributing to design systems & components
Experience testing design systems leveraging techniques such as Unit, View, Visual, E2E testing.
Experience versioning and distributing Design Systems via a private registry
Experience with design tokens and related concepts
Solid CSS knowledge
Experience with Typescript
Experience building web applications with responsive design
Experience building web mobile applications
Solid understanding of Accessibility principles and standards: WCAG 2.0 AA and AAA
Mobile Testing exposure/familiarity
High level of autonomy with strong collaboration skills
A healthy sense of urgency, with an ability to drive towards delivery
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Points If You Have
Experience with common design tools such as Figma, including DevMode
Familiarity or experience with design system developer tools:
Storybook, design token processors, Tailwind
Experience with NextJS
Experience with Github Actions or similar
