The Key Technology, Operations, and Services (KTOS) Enterprise Data and Analytics Governance Program Manager will play a critical role in the enhancements, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide data and analytics governance frameworks. Reporting directly to the Head of Data and Analytics Governance, this role will be responsible for leading efforts to enhance, update, and operationalize data governance standards, procedures, and metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The Enterprise Data and Analytics Governance Program Manager accountabilities include:
- Governance Framework Enhancements and Creation: Lead the design, enhancements, and continuous improvement of enterprise data and analytics governance frameworks, ensuring they align with industry best practices and organizational goals.
- Operationalization of Standards: Drive the implementation and operationalization of data governance standards, policies, and procedures across the organization, ensuring consistent application and compliance.
- Policy Enforcement and Compliance: Ensure adherence to data risk policy and procedures by collaborating with stakeholders across the organization and leading efforts to monitor compliance with data-related regulatory requirements.
- Risk and Controls: Focus on mitigating data risk by designing, executing, testing results of controls via well-defined procedures and with the appropriate selection and use of governance tools.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, risk partners, and business units, to ensure data governance initiatives support and enhance business objectives. Create strong working relationships with the lines of businesses to drive improvements in standards application, tool usage, and continued refinement based on keen understanding of LOBs experience with meeting the policies and standards.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and lead training programs to increase awareness and understanding of data governance practices, policies, and governance related technology/tool usage across the organization.
- Issue Resolution: Act as the escalation point for data governance-related issues, working with stakeholders to resolve data quality, ownership, and usage concerns.
- Metrics and Reporting: Establish and maintain reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of data governance initiatives and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Innovation and Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in data governance, ensuring the organization’s framework remains current and effective.
- Partner with cross-functional teammates to drive workgroup alignment meetings to address tactical issues, dependencies, team status, metrics review, milestones, etc. (cross functional - Product Owners, First and Second Line of Defense).
- Be a catalyst within the organization, someone who can help advance our Enterprise Data & Analytics Services strategy and drive others in the organization to change.
- Develop expert knowledge in Key Risk Policies and Standards ensuring program compliance and adherence
- Governance Tools: Supports the selection and implementation of appropriate tools, resourcing models, capabilities, educational approaches, attestation methods and on-going continuous improvements of the governance.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in data management, data governance, or related role.
- Strong understanding of data management principles, data quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Financial services industry experience including an understanding of related products, services, features, economics and regulations
- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Ability to articulate a compelling vision and engage stakeholders.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to orchestrate and present information and recommendations (virtually or in person) at all levels within the organization, including executive leadership.
- Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and deliverables, while maintaining attention to detail and highly effective execution
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and handle difficult situations while maintaining strong personal relationships.
- Detail oriented with strong follow through.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
- Travel required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant certifications such as DAMA Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification are advantages.
- Experience managing enterprise-wide governance programs.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- Experience in managing data related programs or projects.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $130,000 to $150,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
