We're seeking a dedicated professional with exceptional writing skills, strong organizational abilities, and a collaborative spirit to manage our grant lifecycle and secure vital funding for our programs.

As the Grant Manager, you'll play a crucial role in supporting Brightli Foundation's mission by overseeing the entire grant process from pre-award to post-award. You'll research and identify funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and manage relationships with funders and internal stakeholders. Your work will directly impact our ability to provide essential services and support to those in need.

You'll be based in either Springfield or St. Louis, MO, with a hybrid work arrangement that provides flexibility and work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the Foundation's grant strategy to support overall fundraising goals
  • Manage the grant submission process, including identification, research, and stewardship of prospective grants
  • Write and submit compelling proposals, letters of intent, and other grant applications
  • Administer post-award grant activities, including reporting, stakeholder communication, and financial tracking
  • Optimize grant processes and evaluation measures, establishing dashboards to track progress
  • Develop relationships with service lines to understand program funding needs and opportunities
  • Manage the Foundation's grant database and donor database for grant tracking
  • Collaborate closely with Foundation and Grant teams to align calendars, prospects, and grant documents
  • Educate staff on grant policies and serve as a Foundation ambassador for philanthropy

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of grant writing experience, with a strong track record of results in the nonprofit sector
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nonprofit management, communications, English, business, social work or social services, or related field
  • Professional experience in behavioral health or healthcare settings preferred

Additional Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required
  • Exceptional persuasive writing and editing skills with a commitment to accuracy and detail
  • Superior organization, administrative, and project management skills
  • Strong research skills and ability to identify new funding opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management
  • Experience with project management tools and methods preferred
  • Knowledge of CARF standards desirable
  • Experience using grant vetting, screening, and evaluation tools preferred
  • Passion for the Foundation's mission, behavioral health, and health equity
  • Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Successful completion of background check required
