Overview:

The Pricing and Sales Analyst role, in a manufacturer of distribution transformers, plays a crucial role in optimizing inventory management and pricing strategies to support business objectives and enhance market competitiveness. Includes analysis of market trends, inventory levels, and pricing data to recommend pricing adjustments and inventory optimization strategies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in pricing and inventory management, and a deep understanding of the distribution transformer market dynamics.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to inform strategic pricing decisions.
  • Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Collaborate with sales/marketing teams to develop pricing strategies that align with business goals.
  • Conduct profitability analyses and cost assessments for product pricing.
  • Develop and maintain pricing databases and inventory management systems.
  • Provide analytical support for forecasting and demand planning activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on pricing trends, inventory status, and sales performance.
  • Recommend adjustments to pricing and inventory levels based on analytical findings.
  • Support the development and implementation of inventory reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Accounting, Data Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pricing analysis, inventory management, or a similar role, preferably within the distribution transformer industry or a related manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth understanding of sales processes, ERP/CRM systems, and marketing principles.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective pricing and inventory strategies primarily based off of data analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Advanced in Power BI dashboard development, Power BI dashboard development, Microsoft Excel. Experience with writing querying SQL, R and Python is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and managing dashboards, reports, and analytical models, including provisioning access with a focus on automation.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Results-driven with a positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of the distribution transformer industry and/or manufacturing is a plus.
