As our new Services Sales Manager for France, you will lead an experienced team of Account Managers spread across the territory. Your team is responsible for selling an expansive service portfolio including enterprise laboratory productivity concepts to the French life sciences and chemical analysis markets to large enterprise endeavors as well as to small and mid-size companies.

You will be responsible for driving growth, business retention, development of the team capabilities and a consistent customer experience in line with the Agilent brand promise of Trusted Answers and a healthy margin for the company. Growth will be achieved through wallet share gain in existing accounts as well as new customer acquisition across the existing Agilent Systems as well as the multi-vendor and asset management service opportunity. You will constantly drive coverage optimization in partnership with the inside sales management to ensure balanced workload for each channel that enables the team to apply the right skills, response and solution for each opportunity.

Internally, you will partner with the service delivery management team to ensure the support organization is able to deliver against the business you are growing. You will also partner with your peers within the district and across the region to drive a One Agilent approach to meeting customer needs whilst differentiating against our competitors. In addition, you will work with marketing to define specific outbound plans that will create awareness in the market of Agilent's value proposition for the service portfolio.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Full responsibility for driving market share gain in the district with and an emphasis on becoming the recognized services solutions provider in small/medium and Enterprise accounts.
  • Maintain and optimize sales coverage, hiring, development and performance of the team.
  • Own the sales forecasting, order performance and deal approval. This includes the achievement of annual business growth rates as well as delivering such results with an optimal cost of sales.
  • Maintain and expand the Services Sales Funnel in partnership with Marketing.
  • Drive the customer experience in partnership with peers within the district.
  • Ensure employee engagement through coaching and meaningful development plans that enable employee personal growth as well as adaption of skills to the market needs.
  • Partner with other business managers to drive a combined approach with customers demonstrating the value of One Agilent.
  • For this role, you can be based from our offices in France or anywhere remotely in the country. You will report to the EMEA Sales Director for Services.

Qualifications

We are looking for a motivated and experience individual with the following background:

  • University Degree in Life Science (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Pharma) or in a Business related field
  • Significant leadership experience, managing a field sales team with a demonstrable strong track record of success
  • Experience in the Life Science and/or Chemical Analysis Industry, managing complex and long sales cycle
  • Strong business and channel management skills
  • Service sales experience would be a strong advantage
  • Full proficiency in both English and French.
