Your missions

In this role you will be part of NXP’s Automotive Verification & Validation team, supporting the development of hardware and software that will be used to ensure, that NXP’s latest Ultra-Wide-Band (UWB) and Near-Field-Communication (NFC) SoC's are ready to perform in the cars of tomorrow. Our team’s mission is to develop and maintain high-end lab infrastructure, automation software and SoC firmware in order to use it to characterize the performance of NXP’s ICs and ensure the required quality standards.

Responsibilities:

You will be integrated in a team of software and hardware experts and work together with them on testing our products. Your responsibilities will be:

  • Definition and implementation of hardware setups and lab environments
  • Definition and implementation of repeatable and efficient test software
  • Implementation of new features and test drivers in complex test frameworks
  • Development of test firmware for NXP’s latest ARM-based SoC products
  • Support of hardware and software experts while debugging identified issues
  • Analysis / post processing of the results and reporting the conclusion

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or similar
  • Embedded firmware development (of test-applications) in C
  • Experience in C# and/or Python
  • Knowledge of NI LabVIEW/TestStand is a plus
  • Experience in PCB design, schematic and layout, knowledge of Altium is an advantage.
  • Experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers etc.) and RF measurements
  • Knowledge of automotive standards e.g., AEC-Q100, IATF16949 is a plus
  • Self-driven, self-motivated and organized
  • Accurate and well-structured way of working, strong analytic skills
  • Team player, good communication skills and fluent in English
