Overview of Role

66degrees is seeking a senior contractor to engage on a 3 month remote assignment with potential to extend. Interested candidates should have the following required skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment. 

Please Note : **Need candidate to join by mid of 4th week of October 2024**.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, showcasing expertise in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure.
• 3+ years of Azure experience including Azure DevOps is required
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar platforms.
• Skilled in scripting languages like Python and Bash for automation and configuration management, and proficient in managing both Linux and Windows OS.
• Strong grasp of security best practices, compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS, GDPR, HIPAA), and experience implementing them.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities, both independently and within teams.
• Passion for technology, continuous learning, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is preferred

• Background in professional services/consulting.
• Strong communication skills.
• Eagerness to work in a teamwork/collaborative environment.

Desired Skills

• In-depth understanding of GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Networking, and IAM, coupled with familiarity in container orchestration using Kubernetes is desired however not required. 
• Experienced in deploying and optimizing Google Cloud Data services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Firestore, Cloud Bigtable, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub for efficient data storage, processing, and analytics within GCP environments is desired however not required.
