Description

Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide.


We are looking for an HR generalist to help in handling daily core HR functions, such as recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. This position will act as a HR liaison between our internal Human Resources department and the growing Member Services (i.e. Customer Care) Department. 


Required Duties:


HR Functions:

  • Assist with new employee onboarding, excluding new hire paperwork generated from Paylocity.
  • Available for any HR issues/questions from Member Services staff, escalating to Director of Business Administration if HR action is needed.
  • Assist in development of performance improvement plans, with direction and approval of Director of Business Administration.
  • Conduct exit interviews and send documents to Human Resources for filing in personnel files.
  • Assist with employee termination requests with approval of the Director of Business Administration.
  • Liaison between Member Services and HR on escalated issues (FMLA, ADA accommodations, etc.).
  • Collection of employee-submitted documentation (doctor’s notes, FMLA requested info, accommodation requests, etc.) and submission to HR for the file and action. 
  • Assist with employee engagement efforts (rewards, recognition, and fun)
  • Suggest improvements in Member Services policies and guidelines, in collaboration with Department heads and Human Resources. 
  • Provide HR-related coaching for leadership team (new leader and ongoing coaching).
  • Keep Member Services leadership team informed of any issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality of data and information accessed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Recruiting Functions:

  • Conduct past employment verification calls.Assist with recruiting process 
  • Facilitate pre-screening interviews.
  • Assist with recruiting/hiring assessments (behavioral index or skills assessment).
  • Coordinate interviews via virtual or in person.
Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent in human resources or related business field.
  • Two to three years human resource experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
