Position Title: Medical Coder
Work Set-up: Work from Home/Work Onsite
Salary: Php 80,000.00 – Php 100,000.00
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM PH Time

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A MEDICAL CODER

Responsibilities as a Medical Coder:

• Perform accurate coding of medical records with a focus on CMS 1600, Medicare Part B, Adv program, CCM, and RPM.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare coding regulations and guidelines.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain accurate documentation for coding and billing purposes.
• Submit and follow up on claims in accordance with CMS and Medicare Part B standards.
• Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and adjust coding practices as needed.
• Assist in resolving coding discrepancies, rejections, and denials with timely follow-up.
• Conduct audits and quality control checks to maintain coding accuracy.
• Provide guidance and education to healthcare teams on coding best practices

Qualifications as a Medical Coder:

• Certification: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of medical coding experience, preferably with CMS 1600, Medicare Part B, Adv Program, CCM, and RPM.
• Familiarity with Medicare reimbursement processes and coding regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote or onsite setting.
• Proficiency with medical coding software and EHR systems.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Chronic Care Management (CCM) and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM).
• Strong communication skills to interact with healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of compliance and audit processes within Medicare programs.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage coding-related issues.
