Otis Performance Excellence (OPXL) is Otis’ Continuous Improvement system.  The Otis World Headquarters Quality team has a summer internship opportunity for those interested in gaining experience in OPXL, Continuous Improvement, and Quality. OPXL underpins everything we do at Otis and has a global and cross-functional reach.  This internship offers practical, challenging, and meaningful global experiences in OPXL to help drive important business results.  

Role Overview: 

  • Helping to improve our tools, competency development, and culture to make OPXL accessible to all Otis colleagues, and to embed OPXL and Continuous Improvement everywhere,
  • Supporting development and deployment of key strategies, processes, standard work, governance, projects, and training to sites and functions globally
  • Working with internal and external suppliers to generate innovative solutions to strengthen our Continuous Improvement program

What You Will Need to be Successful: 

Selection for the Otis Internship Program will be based on the following minimum criteria:

  • Be pursuing a BS in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, or Supply Chain concentrations
  • Proactive and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Flexibility, Adaptability, and Creativity
  • Technical aptitude
  • Project Management capability
  • Self-directed- ability to work independently
  • Solid interpersonal skills
  • A strong desire to continually improve

This is a full-time, paid summer internship, typically ranging from 10-12 weeks.  Throughout your internship, we provide continuous training and performance feedback to ensure you build the necessary skills to succeed.  Additional career opportunities may be available upon conclusion of a successful internship, including potential placement into entry-level, professional roles within the organization.
