As a Manager, Consulting you will work collaboratively with internal team members to address the learning strategy and development needs of our biotech and pharmaceutical clients and confidently project manage the innovative and actionable learning strategies and solutions we create. You will set the vision for a project, provide direction to the team and build deliverables yourself, so having critical thinking skills as well as learning, organization transformation experience or a strong interest in learning it is a must! In this role you will need to navigate many complexities from multiple projects to a fast-moving learning environment and an ever-changing life science business. To be successful you must be self-motivated, innovative, agile in an ambiguous environment, and operate with a growth mindset.

The primary responsibilities of a Manager, Consulting will be to:
  • Engage and build strong relationships with the client throughout the entirety of a project
  • Manage project timelines and coordinate appropriate internal resources to create high-quality, on-time deliverables that stay within scoped timeline and budget
  • Develop and communicate project status updates to internal team members and clients
  • Develop project kick-off decks, project status updates, executive summaries, and case studies, as well as facilitate and/or document client meetings
  • Develop, manage, and update multiple project work plans and work streams at the same time
  • Coordinate and manage team members for client projects who will support the design, development and delivery of solutions including content developers, editors, graphic designers, subcontractors, etc.
  • Conduct situational and needs analysis – asking questions to effectively analyze and inform the roadmap, organization, logistics, scope, and design of a project or solution
  • Support the Project Lead in developing the strategic intent of a project and work with the client and the broader Salience Learning project team to define learning objectives
  • Assist in developing learning solution deliverables (e.g., build slides, write scenarios, cases, detailed facilitator notes, digital modules), as needed, using adult learning and instructional design principles
  • Articulate Salience’s value and the science behind the learning strategy and design choices for clients
  • Conduct detailed reviews of deliverables, provide guidance and feedback to the team to develop the right solutions and ensure quality review is complete before sending to clients
  • Participate in staffing meetings to ensure projects are appropriately resourced for success
  • Provide project performance feedback for project team members as requested
  • Track all client requests and global changes and ensure consistency among program deliverables
  • Prepare Facilitator and/or conduct virtual and live Train the Facilitator sessions, including managing all appropriate logistics (printing, document distribution, site preparation, liaison with producers, confirmation of technology needs, etc.)
  • Efficiently manage the client's legal, medical, regulatory review process for each deliverable
  • Identify potential account/project opportunities and coordinate with Salience Leadership to foster future business development
  • Support additional internal initiatives including upskilling, process efficiencies, business development, etc. as required
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years management consulting in a life science strategy consulting practice or life science agency of record with subspecialties to include learning, commercial effectiveness, medical excellence, HR or organization transformation
  • 6+ years of project management experience and/or managing multiple project work plans
  • Business acumen in the pharmaceutical industry including commercial, marketing, market access, etc.
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.
  • Demonstrated client management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to set vision for and build deliverables
  • Experience supporting learning projects or strong interest in learning and org transformation through structure and behavior change
  • Sense of urgency surrounding creating and achieving goals
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint a MUST
  • Proficient with Project Management platforms
  • Experience with Apple Mac laptops strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills(MS PowerPoint); direct with feedback

This position is currently 100% remote with ability to travel to client sites, conferences and team events as needed (~25% of the time). Ideally you will be local to PA, NJ, NY, MA, DE or the surrounding area.
