Job description

FitXR is a fitness technology company working at the cutting edge of VR and MR, building a movement for movement.

We started life in 2016 in a garden shed in the UK. Today, we’re building FitXR, one of the top-downloaded apps on the Meta Quest store. We’ve raised close to $30m from top investors such as Maveron, Hiro, and BoostVC.

We've built a growing range of fitness studios, from box workouts with world-class trainers like Olympian Nicola Adams to immersive Zumba dance classes. While nothing compares to trying it yourself, you can watch a trailer here.

Our team is distributed across Europe and the US. We’re guided by our Principles of Play: four core beliefs about how we treat each other and our community. We make space for every voice, believe in the importance of a learner’s mindset, and prioritize team success over individual glory.

FitXR is available on Meta Quest 2 & 3 and has been downloaded by over a million people worldwide and featured in Forbes, Empire, T3, Washington Post, Men's Health, GQ, and more. In 2022, FitXR ranked 6th in The Information’s 50 Most Promising Startups.

We are looking for someone who excels in organization, has exceptional communication abilities, is comfortable managing schedules of complex projects and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about working in XR and a good understanding of a real time, 3D art creation pipeline.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage a growing team of Artists- Work closely with the Head of Production and Talent team to allocate staff resources and manage freelance resources efficiently.

  • Be the center of Communication - Facilitate constant communication with the art production team, Head of Production as well as cross-department production teams, providing transparency on asset status, feedback and approvals. Ensure stakeholders have proper visibility and are informed of any changes that may impact their teams

  • Proactively Seek Resolutions - Strong ability to identify problems, and propose solutions, for your team BEFORE they become roadblocks. Keeping a finger on the pulse of dependency deliverables and the project's high-level needs. Own the outcome of your area, and never wait to see if someone else will clear your path

  • Be a Flexible Multitasker - Ability to handle multiple large production needs within your department or across small strike teams. Understanding how to identify and break down prioritizations, and keeping up strong communication via multiple outlets; such as email, Slack, meetings, and development roadmaps

  • Facilitate Development Operations - Schedule team meetings, run daily art reviews, as well as in-headset reviews for feedback and approvals, while providing actionable notes and follow-up to attendees.
