EMC PowerFlex Consultant

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Techno-Functional Consultant with specialized skills in Dell EMC PowerFlex to assist in the deployment and operationalization of a new environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bringing up the PowerFlex platform, educating the customer on best practices, and ensuring the system is fully operationalized within the customer’s IT environment. This position requires strong technical expertise, customer service skills, and flexibility in working hours across Central, Mountain, and East Coast time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dell EMC PowerFlex Deployment: Lead the installation, configuration, and setup of the PowerFlex platform in the customer’s environment.
• Customer Education: Provide in-depth training and education to the customer’s IT team on PowerFlex features, management, and maintenance.
• Operationalization: Work closely with the customer to operationalize the platform, ensuring it integrates smoothly into their existing IT infrastructure and meets performance, scalability, and reliability goals.
• System Optimization: Assist in tuning the system for optimal performance and provide recommendations on best practices for maintenance and future scalability.
• Documentation and Knowledge Transfer: Create comprehensive documentation on the system configuration, operational processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing technical support during the project, resolving any issues that arise in a timely manner.
• Customer Engagement: Maintain excellent customer service throughout the project, ensuring clear communication, timely responses, and a high level of satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Dell EMC PowerFlex setup, configuration, and management.
• Strong understanding of storage infrastructure, virtualization, and network integration.
• Ability to educate and train customer teams on PowerFlex, providing clear guidance and best practices.
• Experience operationalizing IT infrastructure in production environments, including system performance tuning and optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to address technical issues quickly.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the customer’s IT staff.
• Flexible availability to accommodate varying time zones (Central, Mountain, East Coast).
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks for both part-time and full-time engagement as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with other Dell EMC storage and infrastructure products.
• Familiarity with virtualization platforms and hyper-converged infrastructure.
• Relevant certifications in Dell EMC or related technologies.
• Experience in environments with complex IT infrastructure and high-performance storage solutions.
