SUMMARY:

Pierre Fabre is a large private French multinational pharmaceutical and cosmetics company building a new US oncology division. We are looking for creative, highly motivated individuals to help prepare for the successful launch of potentially the first allogeneic T-cell immunotherapy approved in the US (“Therapy”).  Patients with a history of bone marrow or solid organ transplant can suffer from this rare, often deadly lymphoma, which currently has no approved FDA therapies.

The Directors of National Accounts and Reimbursement will play a critical role in preparing for launch and facilitating urgent access to the Therapy once approved.  In the pre-approval phase, they will work closely with Pierre Fabre’s Cell Therapy Account Leads and Field Medical Directors to support site operational onboarding and readiness leading up to and after the anticipated approval of the Therapy. They will be responsible for pre- and post-approval information exchange with payers to ensure Payers have the appropriate data and information required to enable coverage decisions and provide a pathway to coverage for patients who may be prescribed the Therapy post approval.  Critically, they will ensure that providers and payers have timely access to information needed to navigate the preparation for the relevant prior authorization process and single case agreements.  Each patient that presents post approval will require an all-hands-on-deck approach. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an organization that is preparing to launch a new class of advanced therapeutics while making a meaningful impact in the lives of patients with a life-threatening disease.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Enable payer coverage assessment for the Therapy through pre-approval information exchange and post-approval with national and regional commercial payers
  • Educate payers on the urgent unmet need and provide resources to ensure a pathway to coverage
  • Ensure financial and reimbursement confidence and communicate payer coverage with providers post approval. Educate provider on reimbursement, coverage and coding details relevant for the Therapy post approval.
  • Provide ongoing education of Key Stakeholders within the provider on approval pathway post-certification. Provide best practices to ensure smooth registration and ensure they have the tools and resources necessary to secure appropriate coverage
  • Seek out opportunities for synergy and partnership to achieve both Pierre Fabre and customer goals through active and transparent planning and customer engagement
  • Develop, maintain, and execute pre-launch and post-launch business and account plans; update as needed
  • Proactively communicate payer coverage criteria to relevant field teams
  • Prepare practices as compliant and appropriate to be reimbursement ready before and after anticipated approval
  • Ensure that providers and payers have timely access to information needed to navigate prior authorizations and the negotiation of single-case agreements.
  • Educate sites on applicable coding information
  • Proactively communicate payer coverage criteria to relevant field teams and providers
  • Operate in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Pierre Fabre activities

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong, pre-existing working experience with national and/or regional payers
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with inpatient and outpatient reimbursement methodology and dynamics
  • Facility in working with excel-based models to address customer-specified reimbursement scenarios
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Rare diseases and/or oncology experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with biologics; cell or gene therapy experience is highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree required, healthcare degrees or credentials desirable
  • Oncology experience required; experience working in a healthcare practice environment is desirable
  • 10+ years of biotech/pharma required with at least 8 years of direct experience in field reimbursement
  • Scientific curiosity, creativity, and flexibility
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with high expectations
