Job Title: Mortgage System Analyst - Remote | Work From Home

Job Overview

We are on the lookout for a talented and motivated Mortgage System Analyst to become an integral part of our forward-thinking team. In this pivotal role, you will support and refine our mortgage loan originating system (LOS), ensuring its functionality and operational excellence. This position allows you to significantly influence our mortgage processes and technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the chief system administrator for our LOS, managing various components and configurations.
  • Act as the primary technical contact, delivering expert support and guidance to our mortgage professionals.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements, conduct research on issues, and execute testing for improvements.
  • Collaborate with end-users, business partners, vendors, and stakeholders to streamline mortgage operations.
  • Configure and uphold essential LOS components, including user settings, workflows, and business rules.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, training materials, and user guides.
  • Develop and execute reports to aid business operations and decision-making processes.
  • Promptly troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal disruption to mortgage workflows.
  • Keep abreast of LOS features and industry compliance standards, and recommend enhancements as necessary.
  • Participate actively in software releases, encompassing planning, testing, and implementation.
  • Assist in compliance and audit initiatives related to mortgage lending and information security.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 4-6 years of experience as a business and/or system analyst.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage lending products and software.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the residential mortgage lending sector.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and macros).
  • Functional understanding of SQL, XML, SOAP, and IIS web services.
  • Familiarity with scripting and script automation.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in requirements gathering and documentation.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of software administration experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Black Knight LOS (e.g., Empower).
  • Understanding of middleware (e.g., WebSphere, WebLogic, MQ).
  • Experience with interface, API, workflow, and job controller setup and support.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
