Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Operations Coordinator & Policy Researcher to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will involve managing operational tasks and supporting the Executive Director in various initiatives and programs, providing you with a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day office operations, including purchases, meeting coordination, contract negotiations, and scheduling.
- Facilitate internal and external meetings, including organizing events and preparing presentations.
- Manage member communications and correspondence, ensuring distribution according to preferences through our database.
- Maintain organized filing systems and handle mail and phone inquiries efficiently.
- Assist the Executive Director with Board of Directors tasks, including preparing meeting materials and managing logistics for committee meetings.
- Monitor and analyze educational issues at both state and national levels.
- Assume writing responsibilities on educational topics, including policy briefs and related assignments.
- Support the Executive Director in budget preparation and office policy development.
- Respond to inquiries from stakeholders and assist members with questions regarding job postings and resources.
- Liaise with office vendors and building management for repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain office supply inventory and manage office equipment effectively.
- Collaborate with the Director of Membership on membership matters, annual awards, and event planning.
- Coordinate catering for meetings and events as needed.
Required Skills
- Proven self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Exceptional project management, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to engage and motivate staff and board members.
- Data-driven with experience in evaluating and tracking program outcomes.
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel, along with database management; experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check.
- A valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel for meetings across Massachusetts.
- 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
