Your missions

Talascend is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a remote contract opportunity.

DURATION: One year with possible contract-to-hire

LOCATION: Fully Remote- Ability to work CST time zone hours required

NOTE: *** This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

OVERVIEW:

You will be part of the team that does development, migrating data over from an On-Prem legacy system to Oracle HCM. Will be utilizing JAVA to write APIs to migrate data over. You will stay on top of action items and pay close attention to deadlines and meet them. You will come up to speed with all the different tools – PL/SQL, SharePoint, Jenkins, CI/CD pipeline. You will attend daily Scrum meetings and inform the technical lead or manager about any challenges meeting deadlines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

PL/SQL is the main skillset we are looking for.
Build and run enterprise Java applications across our environments; to include on-premises, virtual environments, and in private, public, and cloud.
Bring your SOAP, REST, XML, and PL/SQL skills to enhance and streamline the EXITS functions so that we may have a more efficient set of data and interfaces delivery capabilities for our DoD cloud implementation.
Build CI/CD based version control, automated builds, and release management that align with DoD and Oracle requirements.
Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud.
Document the programs enterprise data delivery set of functions to include the strategy to better align to the Dev/Sec/Ops integration and the high-level data flow, establishes an end-to-end data management/ technical architecture, integrates with the right tools (Jira, Jenkins, Selenium, ANSIBLE, GitLab, Docker, etc.), and provides corresponding roadmaps.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

PL/SQL, OTBI Reports, SQL Plus.
Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) Cloud.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Java Skillsets.
Experience extracting data from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Experience with Oracle HCM Data Loader (HDL).
Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) Reports.
Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite.
Understanding of data modeling methodologies.
