Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a skilled team of over 15 engineers to advance our next-generation database platform.
• Analyze and resolve performance and scalability challenges related to storage, memory, and computing resources.
• Develop cutting-edge solutions utilizing modern C/C++ programming, supported by a highly automated build and test infrastructure.
• Improve system reliability and observability by implementing self-diagnostic and self-healing capabilities.
• Adopt state-of-the-art development practices to ensure high performance, reliability, and error prevention.
• Work cohesively with both core and cross-functional teams to contribute to the sophistication of our database engine.
  
  

Required Skills

• In-depth understanding of computer and systems architecture, including threads, networking, and kernel-level programming.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming with substantial experience in C/C++ and SQL.
• Familiarity with test-driven development and agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, accompanied by effective communication skills.
• Passion for coding and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Experience with operating systems, memory management, multi-threaded software, or distributed systems is advantageous.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Extensive knowledge of operating systems, complex layered software products, or database systems.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver software features or sub-modules from inception to completion.

Compensation And Benefits

For roles based in the Seattle metro/Kirkland areas, base pay ranges from \(165,800 to \)290,200, along with additional equity, incentive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package.
