Your missions

Description

In this role, you will leverage your hands-on accounting experience and in-depth understanding of accounting principles to manage a diverse range of accounting activities and financial analysis. Responsibilities will encompass month-end activities, reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and various reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cash Management: Prepare monthly cash reconciliations.
  • Accounts Receivable & Billing/Revenue: Review and reconcile unbilled invoices and unapplied payments related to contract invoicing. Ensure adherence to government contract specifics and verify compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Customer Payments: Research daily remittance/payment details, identify relevant contracts/POs, and assist with applying customer payments. Create invoices in Unanet if previously unbilled.
  • General Ledger Reconciliation: Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts related to Accounts Receivable/Billing/Revenue, including Accounts Receivable Subsidiary Ledger, Unbilled Revenue, and Unapplied Accounts Receivable Payments. Handle other general ledger account reconciliations as needed for month-end closings.
  • Expense Reports: Learn and assist with the expense report process, including validation of foreign currency conversion rates, per diem rates, verification of receipts, and accurate classification of expenses.
  • Accounts Payable: Gain experience in processing accounts payable, including proper recording, documentation, approval processes, check production, daily cash flow updates, and recording of ACH and wire transactions.
  • Month-End and Year-End Closing: Support the closing processes.
  • Operational Support: Regularly communicate with the operations group to provide finance/accounting services and support.
  • Additional Projects: Participate in other projects and reporting as assigned.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, charts, etc.).
  • Experience with Adobe and Quantum is a plus.
  • Knowledge of government contracting is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, accounting concepts, processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Excellent communication skills for proactive performance and resolution with internal and external customers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven, fast-paced, and multi-tasking environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of business accounting experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use computers and other office equipment.
  • Repetitive movements of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is \(110,000β€”\)130,000 USD, influenced by factors such as skill set, experience level, and location.
