Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and committed Litigation Legal Assistant to become a vital member of our esteemed legal team. This remote position is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, offering a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to our ongoing legal initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive assistance in the preparation and organization of documents for court filings.
  • Oversee calendar management, ensuring adherence to deadlines and court schedules.
  • Format, proofread, and edit legal documents to uphold the highest standards of accuracy.
  • Execute e-Filings and sustain a robust docketing system for all court-related deadlines and depositions.
  • Prepare essential court notices, proof of service documents, and other case-related materials.
  • Organize and manage documentation within digital management systems (ProLaw) while performing necessary electronic research.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • A proactive and collaborative team player committed to achieving exceptional outcomes for clients.
  • Independent self-starter with a keen initiative and dedication to quality work.
  • Detail-oriented with the capacity to efficiently manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (including styles and tables), Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and time entry software.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • An ABA-approved paralegal certificate is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation within a law firm.
