Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the preparation of tax returns, extensions, and planning calculations for diverse entity types, with a focus on individual and familial requirements.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements and execute accounting tasks, including adjusting entries and bank reconciliations.
• Develop and review intricate tax planning projections for both individual and corporate estimated tax obligations.
• Ensure timely delivery of client services and adherence to deadlines.
• Prepare or assess complex U.S. and state individual income, gift, and estate tax returns.
• Engage in tax research and draft memoranda detailing findings and conclusions.
• Address inquiries from IRS and state agencies, including audits and tax notices.
• Facilitate effective communication with clients, colleagues, and management regarding tax-related matters.
• Spearhead departmental initiatives concerning software, processes, and workflows.
  
  

Required Skills

• 4-10+ years of pertinent experience in tax management.
• Proficiency in individual tax compliance and planning (knowledge of CS Suite and UltraTax is advantageous).
• Familiarity with tax research (RIA).
• Understanding of gift, estate, and trust returns is beneficial.
• Experience with partnership tax is a plus.
• A friendly disposition and a collaborative approach.
• A forward-thinking attitude, with a desire for continual learning and development.
