Principal Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Consultant – Client Services

Job Summary

Argano is seeking a Principal Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Consultant in our Managed Services practice. This position focuses on guiding and assisting clients through day-to-day system support of Oracle Cloud HCM modules. The consultant will be responsible for working with the client team to resolve issues, troubleshoot, perform maintenance, and continue system enhancement to optimize business operations. The resource should have extensive knowledge and experience with Oracle Cloud HCM business processes.

Responsibilities

  • Using in-depth knowledge of the Oracle Cloud HCM Applications, as well as industry best practice expertise, consult with clients to provide cost effective solutions to solve business issues.
  • Provide high quality client support, by working with client teams in gathering information to solve day-to-day system issues.
  • Trouble shoot client issues by performing various activities such as research, open SRs, system testing, and system configuration.
  • Collaborate with client team in performing upgrade activities such as system configuration, testing, and end user training.
  • Proactively contribute to the overall support process, by suggesting & executing new process efficiencies, documenting common support issues and workarounds, to minimize number of future support requests.
  • Refine client requirements in detail, document and present to the client for approval.
  • Identifies and applies creative and innovative approaches to resolving system issues.
  • Work with Oracle to resolve service requests.
  • Participate in team training activities to keep current with Oracle Cloud functionality.

Education

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, etc.
  • MBA, relevant master's degree or PhD (technical accounting, management system, Business Admin, etc.) preferred.

Experience

  • 10 to 15 years of consulting or industry experience.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of Payroll Processing, Garnishments, Tax Filings and general knowledge of Payroll processes and procedures within an organization.
  • Extensive experience in consulting or a related role, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • In-depth knowledge of the technologies and systems relevant.
  • Leading and managing different projects
  • Solid grasp of various technologies
  • A comprehensive understanding of Oracle Cloud implementation methodology and the challenges commonly faced by client and implementation teams.
  • Proven ability to understand client’s data movement to external systems and advise on impacts related to upstream and downstream systems.
  • Ability to effectively manage communication at the client senior levels, see the “big picture” as well as the details.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan work and manage priorities with commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver large projects, including understanding of business-related drivers and parameters.
  • Strong intrapersonal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and demonstrated commitment to continuous learning to stay current on trends and Oracle Cloud releases.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor other associates.

Payroll Specific

  • Payroll Expertise (ideally Oracle Cloud or EBS Payroll)
  • Local knowledge of Legislative Payroll Requirements
  • Knowledge of common business pay practices
