POSITION HIGHLIGHTS- We are seeking a Life Marketing Consultant (aka Life Insurance Advisor, Case Design Specialist) with a strong understanding of Life insurance products, Life insurance planning for businesses and individuals, and estate planning. This role will support our agents with carrier recommendations, illustrations, life insurance quotes, and conducting training sessions for our agents.
- Open to Remote or Hybrid if near office: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in office, Tuesday and Friday remote
- Office located: 101 Centerpoint Dr Middletown, CT 06457 or Omaha office: 8420 W Dodge Rd Omaha, NE 68114
- Operate full-time on 37.5 hours, Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Compensation is a combination of base salary + incentive
- Up to 10% travel, traveling to 5-6 events or branches per year
Summary
Responsible for providing sales support to the Futurity First distribution organization for Life Insurance product portfolio to increase company revenue and profit.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Sales Support Functions: Promote the company’s product portfolio with specialization in the Life Insurance products. Use product knowledge and carrier awareness to help increase life insurance sales. Support field advisors with sales tools and concepts to help individual producers with their clients’ needs. Educate agents on the overarching concepts and nuances of these products and how they fit into the overall structure of an individual’s portfolio; The education consists of proactive phone work with field management and producers, one on one agent education, client seminars, work with advisors on point of sale strategies and techniques; Support producers with proposal development and case design. Be familiar with all company assigned products and services that are related. Be prepared to receive phone calls from advisors and carrier personnel; Refer advisors to others based on additional informational needs, particularly for products outside the scope of the position. At no time, should there be communication directly with the end consumer; all communications with the end consumer should be made by and through the advisor.
- Department Support Functions: Update and maintain Contact Management Information and other designated systems in accordance with policies and procedures; Update and maintain task list.
- Special Projects: Work collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of Futurity First by serving on relevant internal and external committees; Assists with special projects/assignments as requested by members of management.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree
Three (3) or more years general insurance industry or related field (financial services, marketing, web-based business, business-to-business customer service or call center) experience required.
Three (3) or more years of internal or external wholesaling experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Financial Planning, Long Term Care, Annuities and Medicare strategies preferred
Experience in providing insurance training and CE courses.
Insurance Designations Preferred But Not Required (CLU And/or CHFC).
Prior experience with Power Point preparation and webinar presentations.
Experience with carrier websites to include agent portals
Skills
Knowledge of distribution organization for Life Insurance, Annuity, Long Term Care, Disability, Worksite and Medicare products.
Working knowledge of insurance services industries.
Knowledge of the general industry procedures, standards, systems, resources, practices and terminology.
Knowledge of general office forms, processes and procedures.
Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws as well as industry regulations.
Knowledge of program and project management including outcomes, quality assurance, and satisfaction measurement and interpretation.
Knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Suite and MS Outlook software.
Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, motivation and training of personnel.
Skill in the use of time management, organizational leadership and supervisory skills.
Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat software preferred).
Skill in working effectively with inbound and outbound callers/customers.
Skill in the use of office equipment including computer, fax, printer, scanner, telephone system, etc.
Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts.
Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with all customers, other management members, employees and the general public.
Skill in working effectively with other company departments, internal marketing staff, home office personnel and agents.
