The Senior Director, Growth Marketing and Operations is responsible for orchestrating all elements of demand generation for Merative. This role is responsible for creating sufficient pipeline and demand for each business unit to achieve its growth goals while ensuring favorable ROI on marketing programs.

Responsibilities include 1) developing a comprehensive demand generation strategy, 2) executing multi-channel marketing programs, 3) managing and optimizing campaigns to align with business goals, 4) monitoring and reporting KPIs, 5) managing marketing technology, and 6) providing leadership for all marketing shared services functions.

This role works across multiple disciplines, within marketing and across all levels of the business, to build successful marketing strategies and GTM plans.

Key Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes 
 
1. Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive demand generation strategy aligned with Merative’s growth objectives. Create and manage the marketing plan and budget to achieve demand generation goals. Connect this growth marketing strategy directly to quarterly & annual revenue plans, as well as the company's broader category strategy. 

 

2. End-to-End Demand Generation: Develop and implement lead generation programs using various channels, including digital, content, email, web, SEO, events, and social media. Monitor lead quality and conversion rates, and optimize lead generation efforts accordingly. Drive rigor of execution, and improve velocity of tests, agility, and insight feedback loops 

 

3. Campaign Management: Plan and execute demand generation campaigns, including webinars, events, email marketing, and online advertising. Measure and analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly. Partner with product marketers to ensure campaign alignment to business goals. 

 

4. Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and report on key demand generation KPIs and metrics, such as conversion rates, pipeline growth, and ROl. Provide regular updates to the executive team on demand generation performance. Run periodic, full transparency review sessions with marketing team and cross-functional partners, including sales, product management, and executive leadership. 

 

5. Marketing Technology Stack: Select, implement, and manage marketing technology tools, including marketing automation and CRM systems, to support demand generation efforts. Leverage data and analytics to make data-driven decisions and optimizations at the intersection of the marketing and sales teams. 

 

6. Team Leadership and Management: Build, lead, and manage a high-performing demand generation team. Set clear goals and objectives for team members and provide mentorship and guidance. Responsible for managing all aspects of shared services and operations to achieve business goals for each business unit, including web and digital, brand and design, and channels.
