Job description

We want a highly creative Copywriter and Content Manager to help craft effective copy for our app and other marketing channels. We’ve always had a very strong creative culture at Chip.

Good writing and storytelling play a very influential role in the business - one of the first questions always asked with new products and initiatives is; “what’s the story?” We’ve nurtured an in-house creative team with an ambitious and energetic culture.

Chip has grown massively in 2023, driven by market-leading products and innovative products, welcoming hundreds of thousands of customers, and billions of pounds to Chip. Now we’re taking things up a gear. Enter you. We have huge plans to deliver an amazing new brand.

We’re levelling up Chip and making us the wealth app of choice, we envision this being driven in no small way by premium content delivered with a personal touch.

You’ll specifically own content related to our savings products, working closely with the CRM and product team, but you’ll get exposure to all mediums and content types.

You’ll be a key part of a dedicated creative team with your work getting a lot of high-profile exposure to millions of people across the country.

You’ll be given a lot of creative freedom and opportunity to build and grow Chip.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Own the content production and management for all of Chip’s savings products, from the Cash ISA to our easy-access account
  • Produce copy for all touchpoints, from emails and blogs, to in-app and website copy
  • Own testing and optimising performance of copy
  • Work closely with CRM Managers, brand and UX designers to take concepts from ideation to execution
  • Help build out new products and features
  • Attention to detail and be the wordsmith for the Chip app
  • Contribute to wider creative and strategic discussions within the marketing team
  • Owning all copy in the app and website and making sure it’s on brand with consistent messaging.
  • Building an extensive content library of guides/blogs/landing pages, both in the app and on the website.
  • Working with the content and design team to ensure all ads follow our narrative and messaging hierarchy.

What we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience writing B2C copy
  • Financial, tech, editorial or agency background
  • A background working with regulated industries (in-house, or for an agency) and an understanding of financial compliance
  • You have worked closely with UX designers, developers and product teams
  • Experience working with apps, or complex customer journeys/forms
  • Someonw ith attention to detail, and knows the correct place to put a comma
  • Have maintained large content libraries, with strong editorial skills
  • Portfolio that demonstrates an ability to to write copy that “sells”
  • Confident working with collaborative design software (eg. Figma)
  • Extensive experience maintaining a website and using a variety of CMS tools (bonus points if you’ve used Braze)
