Position at Old Republic Risk Management

Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) is currently seeking a Premium Audit Review Supervisor to join its Premium Audit Team at its company headquarters in Brookfield, W.  In general, the Premium Audit Review Supervisor oversees assigned Premium Audit Review Specialists. Additionally, the Premium Audit Review  Supervisor is responsible for effectively balancing their workload while monitoring the workload of their direct reports to ensure premium audit reviews are completed promptly and accurately.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Supervise, train and mentor assigned Premium Audit Review Specialists to ensure understanding of department processes and procedures and make recommendations for performance management and disciplinary action.  Track team workloads, ensuring accurate and timely audit review handling based on current regulatory rules and company requirements are followed.  Contribute to the new employee selection process.
  • Schedule team and one-on-one meetings with assigned Premium Audit Review Specialists.  Complete annual review and merit adjustments for assigned Premium Audit Review Specialists. Take an active role in the interviewing and hiring process of new Premium Audit Review Specialists.
  • Perform premium audit reviews on internal and vendor premium audits to ensure accuracy and consistency, following current regulatory bureau rules/regulations, and classification guidelines considering state exceptions.
  • Ensure the maintenance of prescribed premium audit review support documents. 
  • Maintain premium audit review standard practices.  Implement new practices as necessary.     
  • Keep apprised of workers' compensation rules, regulations and state exceptions and monitor communications, bulletins and manual changes to complete audit reviews that meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Assist with department projects as directed by management.
  • Other duties assigned. 


QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least three years of related worker’s compensation audit experience.  Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Working as a Premium Audit Review Supervisor requires one to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment.  Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary.  Other skills necessary include excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and accurate proofreading skills, the ability to maintain accurate records, the ability to exercise discretion with confidential information, strong attention to detail, and the ability to use a variety of office equipment.

TRAVEL:
This position requires minimal travel by use of motor vehicle, public transportation, and/or airplane.


PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
This position requires one to sit for extended periods of time and stand and/or walk occasionally.  The position requires one to occasionally push, pull, carry, and/or lift up to 10 pounds. No personal protective equipment is required. Ergonomic equipment is available to employees.
