As a Financial Accountant in our New York office, your responsibilities would include the following activities:

  • Maintain balance sheets and other financial exhibits for some of our largest clients

  • Client specific reporting needs, including preparing monthly reports for clients, sometimes using Excel and sometimes using Quickbooks.

  • Be well versed in Quickbooks and able to track cash flow, expenses and balance sheets there.

  • Provide business management services for multiple clients including payroll, bill paying and coordinating with vendors

  • Available to perform administrative functions and operational duties 

  • Create presentations and provide summary reporting for clients

  • Maintain written procedures on all aspects of this position, while always working to improve efficiency and minimize errors

  • Prior experience with a family office or CPA firm is desirable.

Ideal Candidate Profile 

  • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required

  • Excels in a team-based, client-centric culture

  • Able to work independently on project type assignments

  • Knowledge of Quickbooks required, including Quickbooks online

  • Strong MS Office skills 

  • Superior analytical and problem resolution skills with strong attention to detail

  • Willingness to work until work is done, which may require extended hours to meet team needs

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required

  • Excellent oral and written skills, including great client service
