This role:

We are seeking a dedicated contract HR Coordinator. This role focuses on enhancing our onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for employees entering and exiting our company. The ideal candidate will be experienced with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and possess a strong understanding of HR operations. This role will also support recruiting efforts with interview scheduling and candidate communication.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and administer all aspects of the employee onboarding process to ensure a seamless integration of new hires into the organization.
  • Manage the setup and maintenance of employee profiles in our HRIS.
  • Collaborate with internal IT and other departments to ensure all necessary tools and access are provided to new employees.
  • Conduct orientation sessions and other initial training programs to acquaint new hires with company culture, policies, and expectations.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the onboarding process and implement improvements as needed.
  • Manage the offboarding process for departing employees to ensure a smooth and respectful transition.
  • Coordinate exit interviews, analyze feedback, and report findings to management to improve organizational practices.
  • Handle the administration of final pay, benefits termination, and revocation of company access.
  • Serve as a primary user and administrator of the HRIS platform.
  • Ensure accurate data management and generate reports for decision-making and compliance.
  • Provide support and training to staff on HRIS functionalities and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Develop and update onboarding and offboarding materials, including guides, checklists, and FAQs.
  • Ensure all HR practices adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with interview scheduling and candidate communication as needed.

  • The desired hours for this role are up to 40 hours a week.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources, with specific experience in onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Required HRIS systems experience, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience with Rippling, Lever, and Justworks.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and tact.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Location: US-only, Eastern and Central time zones preferred.

  • The compensation for this role is $25/hr
