Our client is seeking a Delivery Manager (Cloud) to help the adoption of public cloud (AWS, Google, Azure, and Oracle) in Federal Government agencies.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Persuasively represent Cloud Services across Government Business Owners and Technical Leadership
  • Embed within a scrum of scrums team to lead delivery for an Agile and DevOPs established practice
  • Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learn & iterate frequently
  • Collaboratively work with Product management team to define the roadmap(s) for any given product and translate them into user stories
  • Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process, prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity of the team
  • Matrix-manage a multi-disciplinary team (alternate sentence – Manage a multi-disciplinary team across various organizations)
  • Ensure all products are built to a quality appropriate to the product stage (i.e. alpha/beta/production)
  • Develop processes and tools for reporting key metrics reflecting current Program health, and spotlighting key actionable improvement opportunity areas
  • Build and present new project implementation plans and brief the stakeholders on status, timeline, risks and next steps
  • Experience setting up teams for successful delivery by removing obstacles/blockers to progress, constantly helping the team become more self-organizing, and enabling teams to accomplish work efficiently and effectively
  • Willingness and enthusiasm in actively and openly sharing knowledge of industry best practices
  • Successful candidates will have experience working with clients, demonstrate excellent relationship management and technical ability to communicate requirements and influence
  • Possess exceptional customer focus and a bias for action; you must work vigorously to earn and keep customer trust, while communicating a bold direction that inspires results
  • Foster strong relationships with Application Developer Organizations (ADOs), including assessing requirement and underlying feature requests to recommend technical and business approaches
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role as a Project or Delivery Manager in the NIH space
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile, Waterfall, Lean, XP or similar development practices.
  • Experience with SAFe a huge plus
  • Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience with the ability to clearly articulate to small and large audiences
  • Experience communicating (written and verbal) with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units including executive level. Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
  • Experience managing multiple agile projects, typically to deliver a specific product or transformation via a multi-disciplinary, high-skilled digital team
  • Adept at delivering complex digital projects, breaking down barriers among teams, and ability to conduct both higher level and granular level planning
  • Ability to define project needs and translate them to into portfolio/program processes for effective allocation of resources
  • Must be a quick learner and possess an aptitude for attention to detail
  • Ability to delegate work appropriately and manage time effectively for self and others
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Highly analytical; proven problem-solving abilities that include conducting independent research to lead or support the resolution of complex questions and issues
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills, new client environments, and grow domain expertise
