Job description

Position Summary

The SharePoint Administrator will maintain/optimize the M365 environment with a focus on SharePoint for File Sharing working closely with business units to build out SharePoint templates and assist with the migration of data from existing file shares. In addition, this role will be managing user access permissions and will troubleshoot access issues for users. The SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for working across various departments to ensure content alignment with their needs/goals, work on customizing SharePoint features and functionality based on business requirements, and develop and maintain SharePoint applications and workflows to improve business processes.

Essential Functions

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing SharePoint Online modern sites, capabilities, and functionality.
  • Ability to help conceptualize and develop solutions
  • Experience in designing and implementing SharePoint architecture and managing site collections and sub-site hierarchies
  • Knowledge of and experience building and maintaining content management systems using SharePoint
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues related to software deployment, configuration, and system errors related to SharePoint
  • Knowledge of and experience using PowerShell to automate tasks including deploying solutions, creating custom scripts, managing disk space, audit logs, and usage reporting

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar or equivalent work experience

Experience And Skills

  • 3+ years of experience working with SharePoint, designing, and developing sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and other solutions designed to meet business needs.
  • Experience with content management, document management, business intelligence, business processes, forms, records management portals.
  • Excellent Customer Focus and Communication skills.
  • Experience working in SharePoint 2016, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Designer, and Power Platform.
  • Experience administrating SharePoint Online including managing multiple tenant settings, restoring sites from the recycle bin, managing access control policies, managing term store, managing content type galleries, deploying custom web parts, and managing API access for custom web parts.
  • Experience administrating SharePoint Online including creating and deleting sites, managing sharing settings at the organizational level, adding, and removing site admins, and managing site storage limits.
  • Experience implementing and deploying custom SharePoint features to enhance out of box SharePoint functionality.
  • Relevant MS certifications for SharePoint are a plus.
