We are looking for an experienced Front-End Lead to take charge of our front-end development efforts within a .NET Core environment. This role involves leading a team of front-end developers, collaborating closely with back-end teams, and ensuring that our web applications are performant, scalable, and user-friendly. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern front-end technologies and experience working in a .NET Core ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of front-end components in web applications built on the .NET Core framework.
- Architect and implement responsive, high-performance, and scalable front-end solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Collaborate closely with back-end developers working in ASP.NET Core to ensure seamless integration of front-end components with back-end services.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high code quality and ensure adherence to best practices in front-end development.
- Lead the development and maintenance of reusable UI components and front-end libraries to accelerate development across projects.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of front-end developers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assign tasks, manage team priorities, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality front-end features and enhancements.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, offering constructive feedback and guidance to help team members advance their skills and careers.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to transform wireframes and mockups into interactive, responsive web interfaces.
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Act as the primary point of contact for front-end development within the .NET Core environment, providing updates and insights to senior management.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, and lead front-end discussions.
Front-End Development & Innovation:
- Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development, particularly in the context of .NET Core.
- Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve the front-end development process.
- Optimize web applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability across various devices and browsers.
- Implement front-end testing strategies using frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or similar, ensuring robust and maintainable code.
To be successful at this role, we expect you to have the following experience and skills:
- You must reside in Chile or Colombia
- Advanced English skills
- Experience in front-end development, with strong expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Extensive experience working in a .NET Core environment, with a solid understanding of how front-end technologies integrate with ASP.NET Core back-end services.
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end components with ASP.NET Core back-end services.
- Experience with front-end build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, Parcel, or similar.
- Proficiency with version control systems like Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines in a .NET environment.
- Understanding of responsive design principles, cross-browser compatibility, and front-end performance optimization.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Proven experience in leading or managing a team of front-end developers, with a track record of delivering high-quality web applications in a .NET Core environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, with the ability to lead front-end development within Agile teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
