Job description

Position summary:

Sojern is seeking a seasoned, in-market, digital advertising professional to join our Americas Hotel-Property Sales Team. As a Senior Regional Sales Manager, you will be exclusively responsible for growing Sojern’s acquisition and revenue in the local New York City Market. The Senior Regional Sales Manager will develop territory plans and identify key accounts to expand and maintain a high-quality pipeline of hotel prospects and clients. You will spend your days attending local hospitality networking events and conducting in-market face-to-face prospecting and client meetings. You are expected to spend 30-40% of your time client-facing.

What you will do:

  • Lead the development and growth of your NYC-based book of business
  • Engage qualified and interested prospects through face-to-face in-market prospecting, including hotel visits, client meetings, and a high volume of outbound call and email activities
  • Create and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals that educate the market and demonstrate Sojern’s value proposition
  • Achieve monthly quota through new business acquisition
  • Effectively collaborate with Sales, Client Success, and Product Marketing Teams to develop relevant advertising programs for key clients
  • Proficiently utilize Salesforce, with Sojern’s architecture and guidelines, with the ability to report on KPIs, including individual results
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvements around the Sales process, tools, and efficiency
  • Foster an energetic and collaborative team environment

What you bring to the table:

  • 4+ years of in-market sales experience required, with at least 2 in the hotels/hospitality industry
  • Previous local hospitality sales experience in the NYC Market required
  • Ability to spend 30-40% of your time conducting market visits
  • Established membership in a local hospitality association
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals and contributing to team success
  • Goal-oriented, passionate, high-energy sales professional with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn new technologies, and able to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Must be comfortable and competent in communications with veteran sales managers and commercial leadership
  • Excellent communication skills - written and spoken
  • Proficient use of Salesforce CRM, Gsuite, and Office Products
