Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill this amazing opportunity on for the upcoming LONG-RANGE ENTERPRISE INTELLIGENCE, SURVEILLANCE, AND RECONNAISSANCE ACTIVITY (LEIA).

Peraton will deliver a broad spectrum of Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber Defense, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C6ISR) capabilities to support SOCPAC missions and it's AORs. Capabilities include using air, maritime, ground, and space-based platforms to meet mission needs in an ever-changing threat and technology landscape. Our team will provide support to continuously evolve and leverage the latest technologies and best practices to rapidly refresh capabilities and ensure platforms and intelligence operations are optimized to support the SOCPAC missions.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The SME Platform Maritime Sensor Advisor will play a crucial role in providing expert guidance and training on maritime sensor platforms. This role involves delivering high-level expertise in the operation, maintenance, and application of maritime sensor systems, including radar, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) systems, and related technologies. The advisor will support mission planning, execution, and debriefing, ensuring the effective use of maritime sensors to meet operational requirements. The advisor will ensure the effective and accurate delivery of training, facilitating both instructional and operational activities to maintain mission qualification standards and enhance overall aircrew performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure 100% completion of syllabus tasks within the specified timeframe for each lesson.
  • Provide direct instruction and hands-on training to maintain mission qualification for Maritime sensors on all relevant maritime platforms.
  • Have a knowledge of mission planning, mission execution, and debriefing to ensure comprehensive understanding and performance of the mission.
  • Collaborate with instructors and opposing force (OPFOR) personnel to develop and refine training scenarios.
  • Role-play air, maritime, ground entities as required by the training scenarios to simulate realistic operational environments.
  • Assist as needed 24/7 operational support tasks including searching, detecting, identifying, intercepting, and locating signals of interest using advanced sensors and passive geolocation techniques.
  • Oversee mission system inspection, operation, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Assist in the Develop and manage training materials and instructional content, including informational and instructional videos.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of training activities, including mission logs and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify and analyze training needs and gaps within the organization.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including department heads and subject matter experts, to define training requirements and set priorities.
  • Develop and implement training strategies and curricula for various stages of technology modernization projects.
  • Utilize diverse training methods and media, including digital learning platforms and experiential workshops, to meet organizational needs.
  • Explore and recommend tools and technologies to enhance learning and development processes. Manage the procurement, development, and deployment of Learning Management Systems (LMS) to support organizational growth.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Experience:

  • 12+ years experience relevant experience, Military training or experience in maritime operations is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maritime Crew member operating Maritime Sensors (GEOINT, SIGINT, ELINT, FISINT)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in training development, with a strong focus on change management and strategic communications.
  • At least 4-6 years of relevant professional experience in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in training design, development, and delivery across virtual, classroom, and large audience settings.

Skills:

  • Expertise in training needs assessment, curriculum development, instructional design, and evaluation.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and inclusive training methodologies.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining maritime sensor systems, including radar and EO/IR technology.
  • Active Secret clearance

Certifications:

  • Professional certifications related to training and development (e.g., CPLP, ATD) are highly desirable.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or other advanced degrees or relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in diverse and potentially austere environments.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
