Job Description

As Senior Director, Database Technical Program Management, in the Database Organization, you will lead teams and apply your extensive knowledge of database/application migrations to the cloud. You will be responsible for migrating internal OnPremise applications to Autonomous Database as well as specific existing services in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to the Autonomous Database.

This is an exciting and dynamic role where you can make a real difference in the world-renowned Oracle Database Organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in management, with a focus on leading technical teams in a cloud technology or problem management environment
  • Must have previous experience in communicating in executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and problem-solve across matrixed organizations
  • Experienced in multi-country resource & organization management
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality results with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies and experience with problem management principles


Responsibilities

Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state.

  • Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets.
  • Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters.
  • Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Coordinate work of Database Administrators, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Development Operations Security, Application Owners as well as program staff, providing technical support and direction.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

US: Hiring Range: from $156,700 - $338,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
