Who You Are:
The
Finance Consultant role is a challenging, exciting opportunity for you to develop and implement solutions for our
NetSuite for Government product within our growing industry unit. In this role you will work with multiple NetSuite for Government customers and be responsible for the successful design and delivery of business solutions. You will work with a strong project team of leaders in the Oracle Local Government Industry Unit, along with Product, Development and Support organizations to focus on delivering a world-class implementation of Oracle software and products.
You will use your experience in ERP implementations to identify customer needs and lead the delivery of a successful implementation activities. You will work with customers to configure and design workflows in the NetSuite for Government product. You will also oversee data migration tasks to ensure smooth transitions and data integrity based on various customer needs. You will use your strong influence and collaboration skills to work successfully with internal stakeholders and customers.
Responsibilities
What you will do:
- Own and deliver Oracle NetSuite for Government business solutions for the customer
- Use your background in government accounting and finance to identify and solve critical project objectives
- Develop trusted relationships with customers, set expectations, provide meaningful and timely communication, to deliver on promises and commitments
- You will partner with Product, Development, and Support to define and develop implementation tools and practices for future projects.
- Methodically manage complex business and logistical challenges
- Provide regular status on deliverables and milestones to the project team and to the customer
- Exercise creativity, independent judgment, and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques
- Exhibit strong executive presence and ability to interact with key project sponsors
- Oversee and coordinate data migration processes, including data mapping, transformation, and validation, to ensure accurate and efficient migration of governmental accounting data.
- Utilize ETL tools to support seamless integration of migrated data into the NetSuite for Government product.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the migration process.
What you've done:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years working on complex cloud and SaaS projects to successful delivery
- 1+ years in a government accounting including familiarity with GFOA rules, fund accounting, procurement, receivables, budgeting and municipal accounting terminology and processes.
- Proven self-starter that proactively develops working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical and time management skills
- Experienced with gap analysis, risk mitigation, issue documentation, tracking and prioritization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Shown comfort working in rapid paced environments with evolving expectations and priorities.
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time as needed
- Proven experience in managing data migration projects, including planning, execution, and validation.
- Proficiency with ETL tools, particularly Power Query, for data transformation and integration.
It would be awesome if you also had:
- Experience using Oracle NetSuite
- Knowledge/familiarity with Oracle products and services, including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Previous experience working with governmental accounting systems or similar large-scale financial data environments.

US: Hiring Range: from $71,200 - $158,200 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
