Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer (Remote)

Roles & Responsibilities

Security Hardening Development

  • Develop and maintain security baselines for all IT assets, including endpoints, servers, network devices, cloud platforms, mobile devices, and IAM systems.
  • Align security baselines with industry standards such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST, and organizational policies.

Compliance Monitoring

  • Implement and handle tools for continuous compliance monitoring across all IT environments.
  • Ensure all systems are continuously supervised for compliance with security baselines.

Policy and Procedure Development

  • Develop and carry out security policies and procedures related to configuration management, baseline adherence, and compliance.
  • Ensure that all security policies are up-to-date, clearly documented, and communicated effectively to relevant collaborators.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of security baselines, compliance processes, and remediation activities.
  • Prepare and present regular compliance reports to management and relevant partners.

Risk/ Threats

  • Integrate threat intelligence feeds into the compliance monitoring processes to anticipate and defend against emerging threats.
  • Adjust security baselines and hardening strategies based on current threat landscapes and intelligence reports.
  • Participate in the organization’s change management process to ensure that all changes to IT assets are evaluated for security impact and compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Three or More of: GIAC Certified, CCSK, OCSP, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), Cloud Certified (AWS (Amazon Web Services), GCP security engineer, Azure security engineer, CEH, ITIL, Microsoft Certification, Security+ or other related security certification
  • 6-8 years’ experience in a cyber security role
  • Broad and in-depth knowledge of cyber security technologies
  • 5 years’ experience in cyber security solutions
  • Proficiency in secure baseline configuration and network security architecture design
  • Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives and experience with architecture and implementations of IT/OT Security solutions.
  • Proven ability to drive security processes, remediation, and standards within a sophisticated business environment while maintaining continuity of business operations.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of all areas within IT plus a comprehensive understanding of all business functions and how their processes and resources interact is required.

Salary And Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until 09/29/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $ 114,500.00 - $ 134,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
