Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and creative Editor to lead the content development for our healthcare newsletter. This newsletter is designed to be a fun, informative, and engaging resource for doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. The Editor will be responsible for curating, editing, and publishing content that informs and entertains our audience, keeping them up-to-date with the latest medical news, trends, and continuing education opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: Curate, write, and edit a diverse range of content tailored to the interests and needs of healthcare professionals.
  • Editorial Strategy: Develop and implement an editorial strategy that aligns with the company's goals and audience interests, ensuring the newsletter is both engaging and informative.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all content meets high editorial standards, including accuracy, clarity, and relevance. This includes fact-checking and proofreading.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with medical writers, graphic designers, and other team members to create a cohesive and visually appealing newsletter.
  • Audience Engagement: Develop strategies to engage readers, and monitor and analyze audience engagement metrics to refine content strategies.
  • Industry Trends: Stay informed about the latest developments in healthcare, continuing education, and digital media to ensure the newsletter remains current and relevant.
  • Project Management: Manage the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of the newsletter, coordinating with various departments as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in editorial roles, within the healthcare, medical, or educational sectors.
  • Education: A degree in Journalism, Communications, Healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Ability to convey complex medical information in an engaging and accessible manner.
  • Creativity: A flair for creating compelling, innovative content that captures the interest of healthcare professionals.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with the healthcare industry and the needs of doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with content management systems (CMS) and basic knowledge of digital marketing and SEO principles.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
