Description
The Buyer/Planner position in U.P.PRO SCM Ireland Ltd. reports to the site lead and works with a team of 7-8 people to manage inventory availability and reverse logistics.
Inventory Management:
• Agree with the customer on the inventory levels that will be required
• Update the catalog with the inventory levels
• Review the daily inventory status at high risk for shortage and provide recovery plans.
• Achieve inventory level optimization by utilizing the internal network of buyers and planners to reduce excess inventory per need.
• Resolution of any issue with stocked (warehoused) material
• Disposition and removal of inventory with low consumption, as the customer requires.
Purchasing:
• Perform to KPIs
• Purchasing decision-making and PO placement
• Assurance of supplier acknowledgment of PO terms
• On-time delivery management
• Resolution of any issue that may occur from PO until receipt.
• Reconciling accounts
Requirements
For this role, we are initially seeking a candidate who is based in Ireland and has full work authorization
Education:
· Business degree or equivalent
Experience:
· Three years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment or relevant field/position
· Background in indicator-driven work environments (KPIs)
Skills:
· An analytic approach to work and strong attention to detail
· Strong Excel skills
· Strong communication skills (both written & oral)
· Data analytics skills
· Ability to partner and communicate effectively with the internal team, customers, and suppliers.
