Who we are:

Omni Calculator is a Polish tech company that helps solve real-life problems using science, numbers, and equations, thus making rational decisions. Our main product, the web application omnicalculator.com, contains over 3700 custom-built calculators co-created by experts in various fields of science. It is visited over 20 million times a month. Media outlets such as The New York Times, National Geographic, The Guardian, and The Washington Post featured our calculators.

Role Overview:

We are on the lookout for a seasoned DevOps Engineer. The role involves leading CI/CD process management, optimizing deployment efficiency, and collaborating with a dynamic development team. The expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, and automation tools will contribute to implementing robust solutions, improving system performance, and introducing cost-effective measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize the CI/CD process for new and existing services to ensure deployment stability and speed.
  • Deploy existing applications via CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.
  • Implement automation, effective monitoring, and tools supporting the development team.
  • Support and work alongside a cross-functional development team to ship products promptly
  • Design and implement solutions to increase system performance, availability, and scalability
  • Propose, design, and implement various infrastructure/architecture solutions.
  • Optimize costs and maintainability according to industry standards (IAC/IAAS)


Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining Kubernetes cluster (EKS preferred) and AWS-based solutions
  • Experience in k8s application deployment and creation with ArgoCD and Helm
  • Knowledge of Jenkins or similar CI/CD automation tools
  • Good understanding of Terraform
  • Experience working with IAC and IAAS
  • Knowledge of containerization and docker
  • Experience in writing scripts in bash/python or similar scripting languages
  • Experience in managing and maintaining Cloudflare workers and CDN solutions
  • Proven experience in introducing cost-optimizing solutions in AWS
  • Team player mindset
  • Communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English (at least C1)
  • This is a part-time position, and we expect you to be available 20 hours/week (4 hours/day)
  • This position is available only for candidates based in Poland.


Employment terms:

  • Contract type of your choosing - B2B or Contract of Employment
  • The first contract will be signed for six months
  • Salary (monthly): 15 000 - 20 000 PLN net B2B or 12 500 - 16 600 PLN gross CoE
  • Work equipment such as a laptop or headphones
  • Flexible working schedule, fully remote or hybrid, with the possibility of working from our office location in Poland: Mikołajska St. in Kraków
