Key responsibilities of this role: 

Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team of testers, assign tasks, and ensure effective collaboration. This includes setting clear goals, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts. 

Test Strategy and Planning: Developing test strategies, defining test plans, and prioritizing test cases based on risk and business impact. This involves understanding project requirements and aligning testing efforts accordingly. 

Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocating resources (both human and technical) to achieve testing objectives. This includes managing budgets, timelines, and staffing. 

Stakeholder Communication: Effective communication with developers, development managers, and other stakeholders. This involves discussing test results, defects, and progress updates. 

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluating and improving testing processes. Identifying bottlenecks, implementing best practices, and optimizing workflows. 

Risk Management: Assessing risks related to testing activities and making informed decisions. Balancing thorough testing with project timelines and business needs. 

Metrics and Reporting: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to testing quality, efficiency, and coverage. Presenting reports to management and making data-driven decisions. 

Vendor Management: If applicable, managing relationships with external testing service providers or tool vendors. 

Technical understanding of our current stack: Playwright for Functional Testing and Gatling for Performance Testing, both on Java.
