We are building our in-house e-commerce platform which powers multiple of our digital sales channels and webshops. Serving thousands of customers and generating a turnover of over one billion euros per year.  

 

As a Product Owner, you are responsible for discovering, building & operating products that deliver value for our customers. You develop and maintain a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business goals. Your role gives you the chance to make a big impact for our customers and company.  

 

You own the product strategy & backlog, and you work closely with your product team & business stakeholders. You collaborate closely with engineers, product analysts, data analysts and UX specialists to build the best possible products. You will report to the Manager Product Owners and Analysts. Our in-house experimentation platform will allow you to test any change to your product with real customers on our platform, ensuring you can track key metrics and make data-driven decisions when developing your products. 

 

 

Things that will keep you busy if you join our team as a Product Owner: 

  • Fall in love with the problem and find ways to solve the challenges together with your team and colleagues. 

  • Share the mission and get the team on board with what needs to be built, keeping everyone on the same page. 

  • Engage with stakeholders and translate user and business needs into requirements and user stories that can be picked up by the development teams. 

  • Be the voice of the customer; ensure you understand what customers need by collaborating with our CX department, visiting customers and having a deep understanding of data analytics 

  • Create the roadmap for your domain and work with other Product Owners to create a company-wide roadmap and work closely with the product manager, developers, architects, and integration specialists. 

  • Take along and educate colleagues on your products, help our organization be more data-driven and help foster a digital -first mindset in our company. 

  • Manage expectations by providing transparency of the backlog, communicating teams short/mid-term priorities to the stakeholders, and being responsible for delivery. 

  • Work in an agile framework, collaborating with development teams in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups. 
     
     

What will help you be successful in this role: 

  • A bachelor's or master's degree. 

  • Experienced in goal-oriented product development. 

  • Relevant experience in a digital / it / ecommerce domain. 

  • Passion for solving complex problems together with a team 

  • Understanding of API structures and domain service is a plus 

  • A happy to help attitude combined with an incredible feeling of ownership. 

  • The ability to keep a high-level overview even when everybody is focusing on the current sprint. 

  • Experience with mature and less-mature development teams to ensure they perform optimally. 

  • Ability to ask the right questions to understand the business logic behind the features and effectively communicate it to the team building it. 

  • Ability to establish, build, and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams of multiple tenants, and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
