Zayo is seeking a Senior Commercial Forecasting Analyst to join our Commercial Organization, reporting to the Director of Reporting & Analytics. The Senior Commercial Forecasting Analyst will have the opportunity to become an expert in our products, go to market strategy, and industry, while utilizing their expertise in implementing best practices in support of our Commercial strategy and planning requirements and objectives. The Senior Commercial Forecasting Analyst will lead our budgeting processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Product, and Finance as they uncover opportunities and risks to the business to ensure they are captured and planned against in our cross functional performance expectations. The Senior Commercial Forecasting Analyst will have high visibility to senior leadership throughout the company and as such, we are looking for a detail oriented solutions driven problem solver who is not afraid to challenge the status quo to drive positive business outcomes.
Location: This remote work position will consider applicants throughout the continental United States, but Denver, Colorado is the preferred location.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain our budgets and forecasts across our most key performance indicators using advanced modeling techniques.
Provide analytical thought leadership, establish budgeting processes, and develop and allocate key performance metrics
Become a subject matter expert on KPI definitions
Utilize advanced analytics tools and software to detail opportunities and risks to performance targets.
Prepares analysis and materials for strategic/annual planning discussions, including organizing meetings, demonstrations, and presentations to engage and inform key stakeholders.
Analyze Sales, Churn, and Product data to determine trends and make informed recommendations to Senior Leadership based on your findings.
Use data, trends, and metrics to ensure our resources are allocated effectively to meet business goals.
Monitor and evaluate strategic plans and recommend adjustments.
Creation and maintenance of reporting dashboards that properly reflect budgets and performance expectations across the organization.
Assist with management of the Commercial Organization operational budget, including forecasting compensation expectations that are in alignment with corporate performance targets.
Work with Corporate Strategy function to align commercial plans with corporate strategy.
Build sensitivity analyses around budget expectations given variations in performance metrics.
Ad Hoc analytics and modeling as needed.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or Data Science and minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or Graduate degree with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Analytical skills with experience in data analysis.
Experience building, manipulating, and maintaining complex spreadsheets.
Python, R, and/or SQL a plus.
Experience with Tableau a plus.
Experience with Dataiku or other Data Science platforms a plus.
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to interact well with different levels of business stakeholders.
Base Salary Range: $83,300 - $124,950 USD/annually, commensurate with experience.
