Prelitigation Paralegal

This role reports to: Manager Pre-Litigation

Job Type: Full Time 

Our law office is seeking a Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Paralegal with experience working on Pennsylvania Personal Injury cases. The ideal candidate must possess 3-8 years of pre-litigation and personal injury experience. Salary based on years of experience.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, diligent, detail-oriented Prelitigation Paralegal (Case Manager). An individual with strong communication skills, both verbal and written, who is comfortable working in a multitasking, hands-on, challenging, fast paced role. We are looking for people that can facilitate a high volume of detail-oriented work and is committed to providing Best in Class customer service.

 

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a full time Experienced Pre-litigation case manager

  •  Ability to manage all Pre-litigation case manager duties
  • Caseload of 100-120 personal injury cases from intake until the case goes to litigation (Until the Filing of the Complaint)
  • 30 days calls with clients regarding medical care, providers, notating and updating about their current treatment status - Provide excellent customer service
  • Capable of independently reviewing cases, conducting investigations to gather necessary information for cases where initial claims are unsuccessful, and establishing No-Fault and Bodily Injury claims as required.
  • Ability to open claims with insurance companies
  • Knowledge of No-Fault applications, filing of claims/procedures, deadlines
  • Knowledge of the processing of lost wage claims
  • Knowledge of retrieving police reports
  • Knowledge of personal injury threshold 
  • Knowledge of Motor Vehicle Indemnification Corp procedures
  • Ability to set up property damage claims
  • Ability to obtain Property Deeds
  • Conduct Corporate Business search about premises liability claims
  • Knowledge of OPRA & FOIL requests
  • Knowledge of Personal Injury Statutes of Limitations – PA
  • Ability to accurately enter information in the Litify insurance tabs, & provider tabs about medical facilities and insurance info.
  • Obtaining/documenting outstanding liens: medical liens, worker's compensation liens, etc.
  • Update and maintain client information in the Litify database
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines

  • Experience in Personal Injury
  • Strong Multitasking and time-management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to handle large and complex case loads
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Proficient with Windows/MS Office Applications

Salary that is offered is based on a candidate's previous experience.

 

Compensation Range:
$60,000$75,000 USD
