Your missions

At Genmab, we’re committed to building extra[not]ordinary futures together, by developing antibody products and pioneering, knock-your-socks-off therapies that change the lives of patients and the future of cancer treatment and serious diseases. From our people who are caring, candid, and impact-driven to our business, which is innovative and rooted in science, we believe that being proudly unique, determined to be our best, and authentic is essential to fulfilling our purpose.

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic hands-on BI Developer to join our IT&D department, reporting to the Senior Manager, Data & Analytics. In this pivotal role, you will directly contribute to the expansion of our BI Center of Excellence, taking ownership of developing and optimizing advanced Business Intelligence (BI) and data solutions. As a key player in our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our current portfolio of BI reports, including handling bug fixes and implementing minor enhancements. Your hands-on expertise will also be critical in driving the creation of Proofs of Concept (POCs) to address evolving business needs.

In addition to your development duties, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for reporting-related solutions, tools, and technologies, providing guidance and support across the organization. Operating within a Product Oriented Delivery (POD) model, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional product teams, ensuring that our data solutions are not only high-impact but also precisely tailored to meet business objectives. Your deep expertise in BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, and SpotFire will be instrumental in shaping our data landscape, from the initial design and development of dashboards and reports to their ongoing refinement and optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the current span of BI reports, including handling bug fixes and implementing minor enhancements.
  • Expand and strengthen the BI Center of Excellence by driving best practices and innovation.
  • Support the creation of new Proofs of Concept (POCs) to address and meet business needs.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for reporting-related solutions, tools, and technologies.
  • Engage directly with large datasets, performing hands-on data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional POD teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective, data-driven solutions.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by conducting regular hands-on audits and validation checks.
  • Apply data analytics and statistical knowledge in a hands-on manner to guide product decisions and improvements.
  • Provide hands-on training and support to other team members on BI tools and data analysis techniques.
  • Lead the development of data-driven insights and actionable recommendations that directly impact business strategy and operations.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in the AI/ML field and assess their potential impact on the product, with a hands-on approach to integration and implementation.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Flexibility to take on additional job responsibilities as required to support evolving business needs and the overall success of the IT&D department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in data analysis and business intelligence within a regulated environment, with a strong preference for experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sectors.
  • Proven hands-on expertise in developing and supporting dashboards using one or more Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, and SpotFire. Experience should include designing, building, and optimizing complex dashboards to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and management.
