Job description

A Medical Assistant | Allied Health will provide vital administrative support to healthcare providers, focusing on managing essential paperwork, adhering to medical protocols, and delivering patient education. This role is designed for individuals with a background in allied health sciences who have a solid understanding of medical terminologies and women’s health.

TASKS:

  1. Paperwork Preparation and Completion:
  • Prepare, review, and complete necessary documentation, including patient consent forms, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and aligned with healthcare requirements.
  • Manage the collection and organization of documents, ensuring all forms are signed and submitted promptly.
  • Protocol Management:
    • Follow and ensure adherence to medical protocols by preparing step-by-step guides and checklists for each procedure.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to update and maintain protocols based on the latest medical guidelines and requirements.
  • Patient Education:
    • Provide clear and concise explanations of medical procedures and protocols to patients, ensuring they understand the process and steps involved.
    • Guide patients through the consent form process, explaining which documents require signatures and answering any related questions.
    • Offer patient support in understanding the importance of each protocol and ensure they are fully informed before any medical procedure.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Graduate of an allied health science course with a solid understanding of key medical terminologies.
    • Familiarity with women's health and the ability to explain women-specific medical protocols.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information in a clear and patient-friendly manner.
    • Keen attention to detail, ensuring all paperwork and protocols are handled meticulously.
    • Organized, proactive, and able to work independently while supporting healthcare providers remotely.
