Job description

The R&D Financial Controller will be an integral part of the development of an SSC, playing a key role in shaping its structure and operations while gaining invaluable global exposure. Role description:

  • Business partner for our board member Innovation & Technology in all finance-related topics related to this Board portfolio;
  • Strategic and operational business management consulting for the company-wide innovation areas, acting as an interface to production in controlling topics;
  • Active support in strategic and operational planning processes as well as project planning in SAP and other project systems;
  • Analysis of the economic project situation and, if needed, immediate launch of measures to ensure the target achievement;
  • Global R&D project tracking in cooperation with the respective local project management, monthly reporting and analysis of the relevant aggregated R&D key figures;
  • Definition and continuous improvement of standards for the global R&D reporting in order to fulfil the claim of being “best-in-class”;
  • Coordination of the globally distributed project initiation.


Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational company;
  • Degree in Business Administration;
  • Experience working with SAP S/4 and in particular in SAP PS, BW, BPC, and SAC would be highly advantageous;
  • Proficient in using MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI, and ideally MS Project;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • Strong analytical and conceptual abilities, as well as an outstanding comprehension of numbers;
  • Good teamwork and presentation skills.
