Job Description 
 
What We Do: The PayScale Compensation Services Team solves puzzles for our customers. We work to ensure that our customers positions are benchmarked to the appropriate datasets for their jobs, and we assist our clients in understanding and leveraging our proprietary market-pricing databases and compensation management products 
 
What You Do: 
  • Assist with the design, implementation, and communication of compensation analyses or salary administration plans; prepare reports and presentations detailing recommendations.
  • Provide consultative guidance regarding pay strategy or compensation philosophy 
  • Participate in special client-focused projects to help our customers improve their internal operations
  • Provide customer and operational support by completing routine tasks associated with customer data
  • May also be called upon to provide benchmarking or market pricing support to balance the workload across multiple teams within the Compensation Services organization 
As a Compensation Analyst, a typical day may include the following:  
  • Assisting customer over email to better understand project scope 
  • Assisting customer by phone/video conference to determine compensation related goals and objectives
  • Providing feedback to PayScale internal teams to improve products and processes  
First Year in Role:  
  • Month 3: Within 3 months, you will have completed training as a Compensation Analyst and will be working on customer projects independently
  • Month 6: Within 6 months, you will have developed proficiency on all Payscale products and with all Payscale datasets 
  • Between 3 and 6 months you may also be helping to mentor/train other new hires  
Qualifications 
 
Experience:  
  • This is an experienced position typically requiring 4+ years of experience in compensation  
  • A post-secondary education is helpful, but not required  
Skills:  
  • Customer service, focused on problem solving and troubleshooting 
  • Research and data analysis skills and mindset 
  • Strong excel/spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects 
  • Project management skills 
  • Salesforce experience is a plus 

Compensation 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $66,800 - $100,200, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus of 10%. If you are hired at Payscale, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider any internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
