Are you passionate about testing activities on large CIS implementations? Do you have a solid understanding of SDLC Practices and Methodologies?
We’re looking for a Test Lead who will guide client project teams in the utilities industry through the customization and execution of E Source’s NavigateOne Testing Methodology to complete the testing phases of an CIS implementation project.

What you’ll do
- Lead the ‘As-Is’ process review, analysis, and documentation with focus on test scenario mapping
- Planning, organizing, monitoring and oversight of all phases of testing
- Development and execution of an overall test strategy for the project that aligns with the project phases and timeline
- Development and execution of client specific test plans for the multiple testing phases of the project.
- Educate the client test team on the objectives, scope, and goals of each phase of testing.
- Work closely with project manager(s) and others to ensure business testing requirements are being met
- Create and maintain documents and deliverables associated with manual and automated enterprise applications testing
- Adapt E Source’s NavigateOne Testing Methodology to client specific project needs
- Develop and maintain project specific testing processes, procedures, and metrics
- Develop, execute and manage test plans and schedules for each test phase/cycle including conversion testing, functional testing, integration testing, bill to bill testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing
- Lead preparation of business scenarios and required test scripts, including identification of needed master and transactional data to execute end-to-end testing
- Lead and or facilitate test meetings, escalating issues/concerns to the project management team and/or E Source Director of Quality & Innovation as needed
- Monitor issues/defects for trends and provide metrics to the project management team
- Oversight and reporting of requirement traceability throughout all test phases
- Management and oversight of test team to ensure timely test execution, proper test result documentation, timely defects/issues reporting, and timely retest
- Oversight of test automation activities and resources, if applicable
What will make you a good fit
- At least 8 of testing experience and test management on large CIS software implementation projects (should include leading completion of 2 full implementation projects)
- Project leadership experience
- Experience in utility CIS software implementation projects and testing
- Experience in using Quality Center / Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Business Process Test (BPT) components
- Understanding of customer relationship management
- People management and leadership skills, including coaching, supervision, staffing, career growth, and conflict management
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of the SDLC as well as various software testing methodologies
- At least 4 years consulting experience
- Expertise in SQL scripting for moderate to expert level data mining and reporting
- Knowledge and understanding of the utility industry
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, engineering, math, or business. Or equivalent body of experience in the Project Testing Field
A bonus if you have:
- Knowledge of the full project management discipline from Project Initiation to Implementation and Project Closure
- Experience implementing, administering and training on testing tools such as the Open Text Suite (QC, ALM, UFT, BPT, WinRunner, LoadRunner QuickTest Pro, etc.)
- Experience in using Selenium
- Experience with at least one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g. Java Script, Scala, VBScript, VB or C++, Python)
- Certification in Automation tools and/or methodology preferred
- Experience creating and using a keyword driven framework for both manual and automated testing

The budgeted salary for this position is $120,000 - $145,000 USD + annual bonus up to 15% (depending on level). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
This role will require travel to client sites with travel up to 80% (usually Mon- Thurs).
