Ping Identity is seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Corporate Development to lead our efforts in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic growth opportunities. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong financial acumen, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to forge impactful relationships across the organization. The VP of Corporate Development will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, driving initiatives that align with our long-term vision and growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Development and Execution:
  • Lead the identification and assessment of potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other growth initiatives.
  • Develop and refine the corporate development strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Leadership and Advisory:
    • Provide strategic counsel to the executive team regarding corporate development opportunities and risks.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, presenting insights and recommendations based on comprehensive data analysis.
    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment and effective communication around corporate initiatives.
  • Deal Structuring and Negotiation:
    • Oversee all phases of deal execution, including financial modeling, due diligence, negotiation, and integration planning.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential partners and investors.
    • Ensure that all transactions align with the company’s strategic goals and risk tolerance.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of corporate development activities.
    • Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and financial analyses to inform decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding corporate development matters.
    • Facilitate collaboration across teams to drive cohesive execution of corporate strategies.
    • Prepare and present findings and recommendations to the board and executive leadership.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of corporate development projects and initiatives.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and key deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within scope.
    • Monitor project progress, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven track record of successfully leading corporate development initiatives, including M&A and partnerships.
    • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
    • High level of strategic and critical thinking, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
    • Strong leadership presence, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Proficiency in corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and project management best practices.

    Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000 + Bonus 

    In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
